*Buy seasonal vegetables and local food.  Meats from local farms are usually far superior to the normal supermarket alternatives.  Local farm vegetables, milks and cheeses can be truly excellent.  Save money and back Britian all at the same time.  This is also eco friendly so it benefits everyone.

*Clear out the backs of your kitchen cupboards - have a week when you use up your store cupboard items, use up all the surplus ingredients that you have in stock.  Don't waste anything.

We actually only need about 20% of our possessions, we all own far too much stuff.  Have a sort out, if you need the money sell, sell, sell.  If you don't need the money give the items to someone else who does need them.  By helping someone else out you will feel better and they will feel better.   Buy less but go for quality, for example antique furniture and just a few key items of top quality fashion that can be bought in a sale.  Luxury for less.
